Together, Vance and Michelle Shepherd front the high-energy LIGHTS show.
Vance, a lead vocalist on keyboards, has been a concert performer and recording artist for two decades. He originally started performing in Las Vegas, where he is a native, in Nemesis. It was the biggest known rock band to come out of the Las Vegas area in the 80s. Nemesis released their debut album in 1985 and went on tour worldwide through the 80s and early 90s.
After the Nemesis years, Vance went on to perform and record with such greats as Brad Gillis of Night Ranger, Mark Slaughter of Slaughter, and Buddy Miles and Billy Cox, formerly of Jimi Hendrix's Band Of Gypsies. Vance has also had the opportunity to work on projects with Adrian Belew, formerly of David Bowie, and Bootsie Collins, formerly of Parliament Funkadelic.
Michelle has been performing internationally for more than a decade. While rock is her forte, her powerful vocals can perform everything from blues, to rock and top 40. Along with her dynamic voice, Michelle has also been a violinist since the age of eight, performing such artists' music as Jean Luc Ponty, The Dixie Dregs, and Kansas, and putting a twist on what can be done with a violin. Michelle's awesome vocals and strong musicianship on both the electric violin and the bass guitar gives LIGHTS a unique edge.
